Puri, Puri, Purikura! プリ, プリ, プリクラ!

GN: Überall in Japan (und ich meine in vielen anderen Ländern Asiens auch) stehen Sie: Purikura-Automaten! Vorallem junge Mädchen lieben es die selbstklebenden Fotos zu gestalten, zu tauschen und zu sammeln. Für 400 yen (ca. 3 Euro) kriegt man einen Fotostreifen mit etwa 6-14 kleineren Bilderchen. Auf manchen ist nur der Kopfbereich zu sehen, auf anderen wiederum der ganze Körper. In größeren Einkaufscentren kann man sich oft auch Kostüme für einen kleinen Aufpreis ausleihen und wenn nicht, dann fügt man über den Automaten Hasenohren ein!

Doch auch ohne spezielle Automaten muss man nicht auf die süßen Fotos verzichten: So gibt es im apple store z.B. die app "Girls Camera". Diese verzaubert die eigenen Bilder in echte Purikura!

EN: Do you know Purikura? Girls all over Asia love them. Small photo stickers made by special machines. They embellish, swap and collect them. Some of them just show the face and some the whole body. You can also rent costumes in big shopping centers for a small amount. Or you just add rabbit ears if you want!

Recipe: Chahan

EN: One of the most basic and delicious dishes i ate in Japan so often and still love it: Chahan - japanese fried rice!
It´s really easy to cook but I recommend to use real Chashu (that´s japanese style pork belly)

Ingredients
3,5 cups Japanese short-grain rice (uncooked)
350g cooked Japanese Chashu, small cubed
150g green French beans, chopped
80g carrot, chopped
2 spring onions, chopped
3 eggs, add 1/2tsp light soy sauce, pepper, lightly beaten
1tbsp Japanese light soy sauce
2tbsp Mirin
1,5tsp salt
Pepper

Method

1. Heat oil in a wok, sauté chopped spring onions for few seconds.
2. Add in beans and carrot, stir fry for 1min.
3. Push beans and carrot aside, pour in egg and scramble it a bit.
4. Add in rice and chopped Chasu, season with salt, stir fry to well combined.
5. Sprinkle mirin at the side of wok, add in pepper, mix well with rice

EN: It´s Valentine´s Day again! There is one good thing about living in Germany and not in Japan or Korea right now: In Japan you would have spent the last days with making homemade chocolate just to wait the next 30 days, whether our valentine gives us white chocolate on "White Day" back. The Koreans are even better: they have the Valentine´s Day, the White Day AND the "Black Day" on april 14th: people who didn´t get any chocolate, have to eat Jajangmyeon, noodles witg black sauce to mourn their loneliness... 

GN: Valentinstag - Alle Jahre wieder.... Ein Vorteil hat es ja, gerade in Deutschland und nicht in Japan oder in Korea zu leben. Denn in Japan hätten wir die letzten Tage damit verbracht, selbstgemachte Schokolade herzustellen und dann die nächsten 30 damit, darauf zu warten, ob wir am "White Day" am 14.März etwas zurückbekommen oder nicht. Die Koreaner setzen noch einen drauf: Zusätzlich zum Valentinstag und dem "White Day" gibt es noch den "Black Day" am 14. April. An diesem Tag können alle die am 14.Februar oder am 14.März leer ausgegangen sind, dies betrauern, indem sie Jajangmyeon, Nudeln mit schwarzer Soße essen... - nur so als kleiner Trost an alle hier in Deutschland.

GM: Kyaru Pamyu Pamyu kommt nach Deutschland! Haha ich erinnere mich noch so gut an sie. Sie übertrifft wirklich alles... Lady Gaga ist nichts dagegen!
Während ihrer Welttour "Nanda Collection World Tour 2014" kommt sie u.a. auch in Köln, London und Paris vorbei.  

EN: Kyaru Pamyu Pamyu is coming to Europe! OMG I remember her so good. Who thinks Lady Gaga is the craziest does´t know her. During her "Nanda Collection World Tour 2014" she appears i.a. in Colonia, London and Paris.

GM: Ich habe mich jetzt dazu entschieden, auf Englisch und auf Deutsch zu posten! einfach weil es so einfacher ist, meine gedanken zu ordnen und mich auszudrucken und ich trotzdem mein englisch verbessern kann.

EN: I decided to post in English and in German from today on. It´s just easier to organize my thoughts and to express myself. Anyway I still want to improve my English.

GM: Heute möchte ich eine meiner Lieblingsmarken aus Japan: Rilakkuma (Der Name kommt übrigens von "relax" und dem japanischen Wort für Bär "Kuma") - ein zuckersüßer Bär, der Stifte, Brotdosen; Kleidung und vieles mehr ziert.

EN: Today I want to introduce Rilakkuma (engl."relax"+ jap."kuma" for bear).  One of my most beloved japanese brands. As the name already says, it´s a cute bear which can be found on several products ranging from school supplies to fashion accessories.

 

GM: Ich wünschte ich könnte so gut kochen wie sie. Einfach unglaublich! Ich hätte noch nicht mal die nötige Geduld dazu.Vielleicht versuche ich es irgendwann... :)

 

EN: amazing! I would kill to be such a good cooker! I don´t even have required patience. But maybe I try... one day :)

Review: Shut up, flower boy band

닥치고 꽃미남밴드

Summary: "Eye Candy is a six member underground rock band led by Byung Hee. When the group transfers into the prestigious Jungsang High School, they find their rival, Strawberry Fields. This is a story about the two rock bands and how they deal with friendship, relationships, and their passion for music."

Things I liked

• The music: I love the soundtrack especially "Jaywalking"! I think shut up, flower boy band is the first drama I watched with a music band which is really good 
• the realation ship between the band members: so lovely and funny! (bromance!)
• the ending of the 2nd episode!!! If you have seen this drama you know what I mean... So sad I just remember that I had to cry the whole 3rd episode
• the character of Byuung hee: he seems weird and arrogant at first but in the end you just have to LOVE him! To bad he stayed just for two episoded... 

Thing I didn´t like

• the acting (maybe also the character) of Ji Hyuk starring Sung Joon: he had some strong moments but for the main character he was just too boring and unimpressive 
• the character of Kim Ye Rim... I also didn´t like her acting (She was playing herself!) and her voice

In the end I can still recommend this drama! It had very strong moments, which were so emotional and touching that I want to watch them again and again.

The song "Touch love" by yoon mi rae really touches my heart... i´m listening to it nearly a hundred times every day!
I think it foreshadows the feeling of this new drama.
